Tangible Kingdom Primer Roll Out Strategy
Over the last several years we’ve trained thousands of leaders in how to begin a movement of incarnational communities in every niche and neighborhood in North America. So far, around 25,000 people have taken this seriously and we’re constantly hearing stories of conversion, cultural engagement, personal spiritual renewal, and even a few churches that began simply because they started some Tangible Kingdom Primer groups.
This has caused Missio to take the possibilities of church and culture transformation much more serious. As you know, we’ve launched the new Missio site for the specific purpose of helping the existing church pilot incarnational communities alongside their existing ministries and have provided free videos and other resources to help churches cast vision, recruit, empower and send their people on a new spiritual formation course.
What’s left is to help with some issues of church calendar and timing. So we’re initiating, and are going to facilitate a national push, to see incarnational communities go VIRAL! Will you help us? Will you join us?
To help we've created an 8 week calendar guide to creating Incarnational Community. We're doing what we can to help. Take a look at the guide and then study the four phases we've laid out on the right side of this page.

Special Note on Seasonal Timing:
Based on the approaching new year we’re suggesting this timeline that will harness the seasons and lead you into the perfect timing for launching your missional communities.
Most churches operate in cycles based on the holiday's so here’s a list of some good seasons to restart this process.
- New Year Season: Begins just after Thanksgiving and runs through early April (ends before Easter).
- After Easter to early Summer: Begin Phase 1 in Feb so you can begin Phase 3 - Implementation by May and conclude by early summer.
- Summer Season: Encourage all IC’s to use summer for deeper relational connection. Vacation together, much more focus on parties, serving, etc.
- Fall Season: Begin Phase 1 in August so you can begin Phase 3 in the Fall.
The Process - Suggested 2011 Plan
PHASE 1:
CASTING VISION FOR YOUR PILOT
(Thanksgiving through New Years)
All movement needs some ramp up time to inspire, process, and recruit people for the mission. As we mentioned in AND, each church must determine how fast to push and how many to call to this more intentional way of community. Incarnational communities are not small groups but small groups can become...read more.
PHASE 2:
RECRUITING YOUR PILOT MISSIONARIES
By now you should have drummed up some interest and potential pilot groups and participants. To solidify the pilot group host 1-3 Incarnational Community Interest Meetings. These meetings should not be held at the church. Invite people to your home or nice restaurant, or...read more.
PHASE 3:
IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS
Now they are actually going through the 8 week Primer Process.
What to provide during the 8 week process:1) Link them to the main Missio TK Primer Facebook Group: We’ll be providing encouragement for them. You can also set up your own TK Primer facebook group under your existing church facebook or...read more.
PHASE 4:
DEBRIEF/COACHING Meeting.
(First Week of April)
The purpose of this gathering of all TK Primer groups and all the participants is to celebrate their experience, hear encouraging stories, capture learning (we’ll provide the essessment learning sheet) and to give them some practical instructions for moving toward your Easter Gathering. As well, this meeting will help you...read more.
